The man, aged in his 30s, is facing allegations of sexual offences spanning from 2021 to 2023. The Metropolitan Police have completed their investigation and submitted their findings to the CPS for review. The individual remains under scrutiny as further inquiries are being conducted.
The footballer denies the allegations.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Met officers are investigating following a number of reports of alleged sexual offences between 2021 and 2023.
"A full file has been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and detectives continue to work with prosecutors.
"Those who have come forward to police continue to receive support from Met officers."
The player, who has not been named, was first arrested in July 2022 over a rape allegation made by a woman in her 20s.
While in custody, he was further arrested in relation to the alleged rape of a second woman in April 2021 and June that year.
The Metropolitan Police said it would take no further action in relation to the alleged incident in June 2021 because the relevant legislation had not come into effect at the time.
In February 2023, police interviewed the man under caution over an alleged sexual offence said to have been committed in Barnet, north London, in February 2022.
This relates to a third complainant and was reported in July 2022, police said.
Officers interviewed the Premier League footballer again, under caution, in November 2024.
The CPS will now decide how to procced, based on the file of evidence provided by the Metropolitan Police. It is not known when a decision will be made.
