Manchester United are rumored to be on the verge of securing a deal to sign promising Cre8tive Football Academy talent Emmanuel Ziro, overcoming competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the transfer battle.
All three Premier League clubs wanted to secure the teenage midfielder’s signature but it appears the U15s wonderkid is now on his way to Old Trafford.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who report that United are set to fend off competition from both Arsenal and Chelsea to bring Ziro to Manchester.
Ziro is thought to be one of the best young players in England at the moment and is known for his strength, pace and ability to keep the ball while under pressure.
He caught the attention of United, Chelsea and Arsenal after impressing for the Cre8tive Football Academy against various top-flight teams at youth level.
United have now turned their attentions to signing a second wonderkid – Michael Noonan – a 16-year-old striker who plays for Irish club St Patrick’s Athletic.
United aren’t the only team trying to sign Noonan, though, with Manchester City currently in pole position to land the Republic of Ireland U17 international.
The Irish Mirror has tipped Noonan to follow in the footsteps of Evan Ferguson, who has shined at Brighton after joining them from Irish club Bohemians in 2021.
‘Tall, left footed, willing to run at defenders, equipped with the ability to produce first-touch finishes, he is already a superb No9,’ the Irish outlet reported.
They also highlighted Noonan’s positive attitude and added: ‘How far can he go? As far as fortune takes him.’
United have been linked to all kinds of players in recent weeks – after news that Erik ten Hag had been sacked and replaced by Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim.
Amorim is set to take charge of his first United game once the current international break has concluded as the Red Devils face a trip to Ipswich Town.
The Portuguese manager will be desperate to turn things around at Old Trafford following the club’s slow start the season.
